Regards sur le Grand Victoria
Regards sur le Grand Victoria is a programme about municipal news which does much more than merely report the exchanges between different municipal councils. Regards brings you in-depth analyses of issues regarding housing, climate change, reconciliation, safety, and health for Southern Vancouver Island residents. Regards wants to be a solution-oriented show, questionning experts, and holding elected officiels to account.
Regards sur le Grand Victoria can be heard on Wednesdays at noon and in replay on Saturdays at 10am.
Regards sur le Grand Victoria is made possible thanks to the The Community Radio Fund of Canada, the only organisation in the country which is mandated to financially support community and campus radio stations, and the department of Canadian Heritage.
Les cahiers de l'Histoire
The listeners to Cahiers de l’Histoire find themselves in turn in Ancient Egypt, in revolutionary France in 1789, in the forefront of Arctic exploration, in the office of Premier Maurice Duplessis, or at the court of Louis XIV.
Awarded the Prix Jacques-Vallée in 2019, rewarding a volunteer’s exceptional contributions to Radio Victoria, Guy Pruvot offers you a new historic destination every week, Mondays at 7pm, Tuesdays at 2pm and Saturdays at 11am.
On Saturdays at 9am and Mondays at 9pm (in replay), Normand Hébert, a clearsighted and inspired bibliophile, presents listeners with a selection of literary passages read in a calm and soothing voice.
Normand knows his classics, as well as contemporary works. In fact, he is always on the lookout for works written by British Columbian and Western Canadian authors.
Normand Hébert was awarded the 2020 Prix Jacques Vallées for his contributions to Radio Victoria.
