OBJECTIve

Radio Victoria and the Société francophone de Victoria are organizing an  all-candidate debate for the upcoming provincial election.

The goal is to offer the main parties the opportunity to present their platform and allow francophones in Greater Victoria to ask candidates questions which are a priority for them.

STRUCTURE

The debate will be divided into four parts:

– Candidates’ opening statements (2 minutes each)

– Questions from the moderator on housing, the pandemic crisis and the opioid crisis (20 minutes)

– Questions from the moderator on the Francophonie, education in French (french first language and immersion), and the Arts and culture sector (20 minutes)

– Questions from the audience (15 min)

Candidates will be able to participate in the official language of their choice.

All questions will be asked in French and English.

Some of the candidates will be participating via Zoom.
